Cyriel Ruers, Adriaan Craita and Saskia Stolk successfully assisted Van Mossel Automotive Group in obtaining approval from the European Commission for the acquisition of German Nord-Ostsee Automobile.
Nord-Ostsee Automobile has 40 branches in 24 different German cities and a turnover of over €500 million. Van Mossel Automotive was already active in Germany and is expanding its position with this acquisition. The parties are active in several overlapping product markets, including sales of new and used passenger cars, sales of new and used light commercial vehicles, and vehicle repair and maintenance. The geographic overlap involves several German states. Through the acquisition, Van Mossel Automotive expands its brand portfolio in Germany to include Mercedes-Benz, Smart, Hyundai, Iveco and Aston Martin.
Following the acquisition, Van Mossel Automotive Group's workforce will increase to over 8,800 employees and turnover to €7.6 billion. Read the press release here.
Van Mossel Automotive is active in the sale of new and used passenger cars and light commercial vehicles of various brands through sales branches in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Germany and the United Kingdom. Van Mossel Group also owns bodyshops in Belgium and the Netherlands.
Nord-Ostsee Automobile is engaged in the sale of new and used passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in (northeast) Germany. Nord-Ostsee Automobile also offers maintenance and repair services for passenger cars and trucks. The company also offers related services (such as car rental) and sells original spare parts and accessories.
