The Netherlands Authority for Consumers & Markets (ACM) last week launched its 'Cartels never go unnoticed' campaign. That public campaign is directed at increasing cartel awareness and calls on market parties to report suspicions of cartel practices. ACM has drawn up a “cartel check” to enable the public at large to test its ready knowledge of cartels. The campaign is accompanied by a playful video on ACM’s investigation methods. In that video an ACM “laboratory assistant” demonstrates the latest innovation in cartel investigation: robotised “flies on the wall” that infiltrate companies.
ACM has invited the legal profession to take part in the campaign. Maverick Advocaten is happy to accept that challenge and therefore proud to introduce the Maverick Fly Swatter. The fly swatter has been designed specifically for companies and managing directors to keep the ACM at bay. The fly swatter also refers to www.invalacm.nl, the leading information portal for companies that may be faced with a dawn raid by ACM or the European Commission. The website provides practical information on companies’ main rights and obligations, as well as tips & tricks on how best to act during a dawn raid.
Please contact us if you wish to receive the Maverick Fly Swatter. It will then be sent to you free of charge.
