Global Competition Review, the international news agency in the field of competition, has again included Maverick Advocaten in its GCR 100, the guide to the world's leading competition law and economics practices. Global Competition Review recommends Maverick Advocaten and writes:
“Established in 2013, the Netherlands’ first dedicated competition boutique MAVERICK ADVOCATEN expanded its junior team significantly in late 2016 and early 2017 with hires from Houthoff, BarentsKrans, Stibbe and Loyens & Loeff, bringing the total to seven dedicated competition associates work under the team’s three partners Bas Braeken, Diederik Schrijvershof and Martijn van de Hel. Schrijvershof this year assisted the European Investors’ Association in its complaint against the ultimately blocked Deutsche Boerse/London Stock Exchange tie-up. Van de Hel acted for mental health care providers Parnassia Groep and Stichting Antes in obtaining clearance of their €200 million merger, conditioned on the sale of some divisions to GGZ Delfland. Braeken successfully defended broadband provider Canal+ in interim proceedings brought by satellite operator SES Astra, which had complained about missed transponder lease payments. The practice counts ING, Dyson, Bayer, Siemens, Unilever and T-Mobile as regular clients.”
Maverick Advocaten continuously aims to provide its clients with excellent service and personal attention in a highly specialised setting. A proactive and solution-based approach is essential and is characteristic of our work. Our aim is thereby to prove our added value for our clients.
