Diederik Schrijvershof and Leah Peeters are representing an oral care provider in objection proceedings against the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa). The NZa imposed a mandatory order on the oral care provider on the grounds of alleged violations of the Wet marktordening gezondheidszorg (Healthcare (Market Regulation) Act). According to the NZa, the oral care provider was guilty of billing errors (upcoding), among other things. Maverick Advocaten’s team is representing the care provider in the objection proceedings.
The NZa keeps a close eye on the billing practices of oral care providers such as dentists, orthodontists and dental hygienists, as it stated in a recent notice.
