Maverick Advocaten is assisting Niels Kerstholt, Mark Tuitert and EU Athletes as third parties in the appeal lodged by the International Skating Union (ISU) with the General Court against the Commission’s decision prohibiting the ISU’s eligibility rules. The Commission’s decision is a landmark case on the application of EU competition law to the rules set by international sports federations.
Maverick Advocaten is closely working together with Ben van Rompuy of Leiden University, who represented the parties in the administrative proceedings before the European Commission.
