Martijn van de Hel, Adriaan Craita and Saskia Stolk successfully guided an investment fund in obtaining approval of the Bureau Toetsing Investeringen (Investment Screening Bureau – “BTI”) for the investment in an undertaking specialised in quantum technology.
The investment fund invests in startups and SMEs active in different sectors, including deep-tech, sustainability, energy and healthcare. The target undertaking is active in the field of sensitive technology. The target company is engaged in quantum computing and quantum networks.
On 12 October 2023 the investment was notified to the BTI in the context of the notification requirement and investment test based on the Investments Screening Bill (Wet Vifo – “ISB”). On 28 November 2023 the BTI communicated that no screening decision was necessary.
