Martijn van de Hel has assisted Waterland and Nuts with the acquisition of De Nederlandse Energie Maatschappij (NLE). Waterland is an independent private equity investment group. Waterland controls Nuts. Nuts is via Budget Energie an energy supplier for consumers in the Netherlands and Belgium. NLE supplies energy to small customers in the Netherlands. The transaction has been cleared by the European Commission on 2 February 2018. Due to the acquisition Nuts will become the fourth energy supplier in the Netherlands (please be referred to the following press release).
