A team of Maverick Advocaten has assisted Veolia in relation to the acquisition of sole control over Van Scherpenzeel. The Veolia Group is active in environmental management services (water, waste management and energy services). Van Scherpenzeel transports, markets and facilitates the sorting of paper and municipal plastics. In addition, it transforms certain streams of waste, such as polycarbonate into raw materials and sells products made out of these raw materials. The transaction has been cleared by the Authority for Consumers & Markets on 17 October.
