Diederik Schrijvershof is assisting Stichting Omring and Stichting Vrijwaard in obtaining approval from the Dutch healthcare authority ("NZA") and the Dutch competition authority ("ACM") for their administrative merger. On 25 February 2019, NZa took a positive decision on the merger. The merger was notified to ACM on 15 March 2019.
Vrijwaard is active with elderly care in Den Helder with various residential care locations and has a client driven vision. Omring is a robust and innovative healthcare organisation with a long history in this region and has been working with Vrijwaard for some time with regard to healthcare services. Due to a changing demand for such care from clients, an increase in the overall quality and business demands of the market and a labour shortage, the merger is necessary to guarantee the continuity of care in the region.
