Martijn van de Hel and Adriaan Craita have successfully assisted Döhler Group ("Döhler") in obtaining approval from the ACM for the acquisition of S.V.Z. Industrial Products ("SVZ").
Döhler, together with its subsidiaries, is globally active in the production and distribution of ingredients and ingredient systems for the beverage and food industry. This includes, but is not limited to, natural fruit and vegetable juice concentrates, raw materials, essences, essential oils, flavourings and other production ingredients for the beverage and food industry.
SVZ produces, develops and markets fruit and vegetable ingredients for the international food market. Prior to the transaction, the shares of S.V.Z. Industrial Products B.V. were held (indirectly) by Coöperatie Koninklijke Cosun U.A. ("Cosun").
Döhler was advised by Florent regarding the M&A transaction. SVZ and Cosun were advised by Pels Rijcken regarding the ACM procedure.
The transaction was notified to the ACM on 19 July 2023 and was approved by the ACM on 4 August 2023.
