Martijn van de Hel is assisting Erasmus MC and IJsselland Ziekenhuis in obtaining an approval from the ACM for their intended concentration. Previously, Martijn and Ramesh assisted both hospitals in obtaining an approval from the NZa.
Erasmus MC and IJsselland Ziekenhuis are located in the Rijnmond region. Erasmus MC is the largest academic hospital in the Netherlands and has a national care area. IJsselland Ziekenhuis is a general hospital with a care area stretching across Capelle aan den IJssel, Krimpen aan den IJssel, Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel, Krimpenerwaard and the eastern side of Rotterdam. With ‘De Juiste Zorg Op De Juiste Plek’ in mind, the hospitals intend to collaborate sustainably. By doing so, they want to strengthen their own existing profile and organize the care chain more efficiently.
The NZa has approved the concentration on 5 February 2020. The reporting process at ACM started on 15 June 2020.
